This machine is for torsion test of metals, non metals and composites, and suits for the standard of GB10128-88 Torsion Test of Metals under Room Temperature. It can test torque and twist angle value (Add the special electronic torsion meter, the sample can be measured at a small angle so as to realize the the shear modulus G test.) All test can be operated by the computer, and the result can be collected , saved and printed.
1. Main machine:
The left side is fixed port of sensor, right side is motor driven by rotation from worm gear to force multiplier.
2. Drive system
Equipped with digital motor and driver, the test range adjustment and uniformly loading can be achieved.
3. Torque and twist angle test
Equipped with high precision sensor, the torque can be tested in 2 directions. The torsion angle is detected by photoelectric encoder on the output axis to ensure that the displayed value is accurate. Through the computer data acquisition and processing system, the sensor, encoder signal processing on the computer screen display.
4. Measurement control system
This system consists of high precision bi-directional symmetrical torque sensor, voltage stabilizing power supply, measurement amplifier, A / D conversion and so on. Displacement measurement control system is composed of photoelectric encoder, frequency doubling and shaping circuit, counting circuit and so on. Through a variety of signal processing, computer control, data processing, display and other functions.
5. Test process
The whole test can be operated by computer, the torque, angle displacement and other data can be displayed on the screen.

Electrical control system

1. Operation environment
To ensure a clear and fluent operation of the software, the system shall be Windows98/200/XP, screen resolution shall be 1027*768.
2. Sampling frequency
The frequency range is 1~50 sample points/s. 15 points/s is defaulted.
For the material with obvious yield phenomenon, the computer software can automatically distinguish and enter the high-speed sampling stage (100 points / second) when entering the yield phase, and the sampling rate returns to the normal rate after entering the strengthening phase.
3. Automatic zero adjustment, automatic calibration, storage calibration and other functions.
4. Program-controlled intelligent expert system: up to 20 steps for automatic control
Management: all functions are open to this level, including modifications to torque and twist angle calibration factors.
Users: Only can use the test operation. User’s level is default setting.
6. Convenient operation panel
Operation, control, test curves, real-time test are all showed in the main interface for a direct observation;
Test curves:Show torque-twist angle, torque-time, angle-time in the real time. (the data is optional);
All curve can change coordinate;
7. Safe protection
To improve the safety of the test, the machine indicates when it is in error.
For a better observation of cold-hardening and verification of Hooke’s law, the ‘Stop’, ‘Unload’, ‘Reload’ functions are added during manual test;
The torsion speed of the test process changes automatically according to the set program. You can also manually change the speed of the test;
There’s a button saying ‘remove the torsion meter’ on the software operation panel, the torsion meter can be removed during test while no influence to the test result.
